The HMRC number format is one or two capitalized letters followed by 5 numbers. For example, AA12345 or A12345.

All quick tickets include a security print with a barcode on the back (view back of ticket).
There are several things to check about your image when preparing it for
use in a quick ticket. The file type, size, aspect ratio and resolution are the most
File Type: We accept most major image file types (usually
three characters to the right of the '.' in the file's name) including:
BMP, GIF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, ICO, TIF, TIFF, TGA, PCX, WBMP, WMF, and EMF.
If your image's filename has a different type it will not be usable. Try
using your image editor application to save (File > Save As) the image as
one of file types (also known as file formats or file extensions) we can use.
Size: The logo or image will show up on the ticket as
the size specified on the ticket. It is a good idea to make sure that
your image is at least the same size as the place holder image on the
ticket. If it is smaller, your image could become blocky or blurry when
Resolution: Image files print best if they are at least
300 dpi. An image that is 50 dpi, but 152.4 mm tall and 152.4 mm wide
will be converted to an effective 300 dpi image when it is placed in a
ticket with a 25.4 mm square logo space. By the same logic, an image that
is 300 dpi but smaller than the size of the logo on the ticket will have
a lower effective dpi when it is printed.
Aspect Ratio: Your image will be forced to fit within
the space provided. If your image doesn't have the same relative width
and height of the space we provide, you image will be distorted; and have
a stretched or squashed appearance. Ensure that you image has the same aspect
ratio as area into which it will load.
Changing the Aspect Ratio of an Image: The image's aspect
ratio can be easily adjusted using most image editing programs. Here is an
example of how to do it with Microsoft's Paint program. Open paint, by
selecting Start (button) > All Programs > Accessories > Paint. Once the
program is open, use File > Open to find your image and open it. Select
Image > Attributes, to adjust the aspect ratio of the image. The two boxes
will show the current size of the image.
In our example we will assume that we have an image that is 100 pixels
by 200 pixels that we would like to use in a square area on a ticket.
To modify the image we will change the values in the width and height
boxes to match, making a square (it is generally best to change the lower
value to be equal to the higher value). We will change our image size
to 200 pixels by 200 pixels and select OK. Notice that this just increased
the white area to the right side of the image. To re-centre our image
in the new space we will select the box select tool (box with a dotted
line at the upper right corner of the tool palette) and draw a box around
the image. When you click again within the box you will be able to move
it with the mouse and place it again in the centre of the image. The last
step is to save your image by selecting file > save as. If you would like
to keep both the original and the modified image (this is recommended)
then change the file name before saving the image.
You are now ready to upload your new image as part of your quick ticket!
It is now possible to advertise or place your own logo on the
back of your quick ticket order. Your logo will replace the
large security image on the body of the ticket. The ticket will
still have the security barcode
to help prevent fraud. When choosing an image to use on the back of your ticket,
please be sure to design an image that is 88.9 mm by 44.45 mm with a
resolution of 300dpi. This will ensure that the
ticket prints properly.
Accepted File Type: We accept most major image file types including:
BMP, GIF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, ICO, TIF, TIFF, TGA, PCX, WBMP, WMF, and EMF. This means
that if your file has one of the above suffixes after the file name, it will be
accepted by our website for use.
It is also important to note that the proof that you will be shown of
your ticket is only a
96dpi proof that will show you the text placement and layout and
will allow you to check for any spelling mistakes.
Only the text in the input fields will appear on the ticket. Leave the input
fields blank (no text) for those lines you don't wish to use. The blue dots will
not appear on the final ticket.
All text will appear exactly as entered. We are not responsible for spelling
or grammatical errors. There is a £6.47 fee for any changes to the ticket after an
order has been placed. Please use only standard English characters - special
characters may not appear as entered. If you are unsure, please call us at
Shipping amounts vary depending upon the destination
location, the number of tickets ordered, paper type and weight, and the shipping
method you select. Shipping costs are calculated during the checkout process
after the destination address is entered. There is a £3.24 fee to change shipping
methods after an order has been placed, in addition to any
difference in the cost of shipping.
